The New Shape Prize culminated with the recognization of three awardees at the New Shape Forum in Stockholm on May 29th.

When GCF launched the prize competition, it was the goal to find a model that could handle major risks and fulfill a number of important criteria – a very ambitious task. For that reason, the GCF put a very high maximum reward.

After a thorough assessment of the 2,700+ entries received through the competition, it became clear that the optimal model, which meets all the criteria, is still missing.

With this in mind, and after careful assessment of the 14 finalists, the final jury concluded that three entries had the most promising components for continued development. Based on the jury's recommendation, the GCF decided to award these three entries with USD 600,000 each.

The award represents an acknowledgment for excellent work and also as an encouragement for further thinking. GCF remains committed to supporting the continued development of ideas and will keep you informed of ways you can contribute to further ideation.

We would like to thank you again for being part of the journey and encourage you to explore the New Shape Library - a curation of some of the most innovative ideas to emerge from the competition - to inspire continued thinking around remodeling global governance.

Kind regards,
Global Challenges Foundation team
